How come law schools don't have interviews?

This morning Chris had his first med school interview! It was for Boston University, and the interview took place at DeVry University in Orlando. I got today off from work so I was able to go with him! One of Chris' MCAT study books had a list of common questions asked in interviews, so on the drive down, I asked Chris some of those questions. (Why BU? Why do you want to become a doctor? Strengths/weaknesses? What qualities set you apart from others? If you could invite someone to dinner...)

His interview took nearly an hour (good thing I brought my LSAT study guide!) and Chris said it went really well. He should hear back from the school in two weeks as to whether he's being invited back for a second interview! Nervous!

After the stressful interview, we let loose by doing some shopping!!

Our first stop was the IKEA STORE!! Although we weren't going to buy furniture, I just really wanted to have a look around. I don't know if any of you have been to an Ikea store, but they are so cool! There are dozens of little show models for kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, and studies. The signs in the store are written both in English and Swedish! It was fun trying to pronounce some of the words (Erktorp, Ljusas, Kvart, Dalselv, Stenstorp... all of which have these dots or circles above some letters) Unbelievably, Chris and I have the same taste when it comes to interior design! We already picked out our dream livingroom furniture and kitchen lay-out! I wanted to buy this amazing bookshelf, but it definately wasn't going to fit in my little VW. I needed to buy something from Ikea, just to say that I bought something from Ikea, but Chris was tired of looking at furniture and was literally dragging me out of the store. I convinced him to wait long enough for me to buy a hazelnut chocolate bar, imported from Sweden, naturally.

Next was the MALL AT MILLENIA! We went to Urban Outfitters and I found two cute shirts on sale! One of them says "Trust me, I'm a lawyer"! I'm worried about wearing it too soon and jinx-ing myself! But I had to get it! It was only $9.99! Next stop was J. Crew, and I got a really cute hat that kinda-sorta looks like this in black... and it was on sale! Next door to J. Crew was Anthropologie. I went in to see if I could find that really cute hat Ali bought and posted a picture of in one of her blog posts, but alas, it wasn't there. Sad.

Outside of the mall was a NORDSTROM RACK! I got a cute blouse and Chris got a tank top (gay!) and socks (lame!)

I had to control my spending this afternoon because I did a lot of shopping this past weekend using the Give and Get coupon Amy sent!! Two pairs of leggings and a headband from Gap, two cardigans, a shirt, and a vest from Old Navy, and a headband from Banana Republic! Woohoo!

Chris let me play the Wait... Wait... podcast in the car, and it made me happy and laugh! I play along with the panalists and complete the limmerics and answer the lightning round questions. Chris was impressed with my knowledge! I think he underestimates my intelligence. It seemed like the drive went faster when we were listening to the podcast. I going to try to not listen to any of the new episodes and just save them all for the drive to Wellington for Christmas.

So You Think You Can Dance time!
