My parents won. I'm moving back to Gainesville. They said that I can't be halfway independent. They said that if I want to live on my own in Gainesville, then I would have to take on the responsibilities of paying for my car, car insurance, cell phone bill, health insurance, and credit card bills. There is no way I can do all of this, plus pay rent/utilities. Even if I find a real job and a cheaper apartment, I won't be able to make ends meet. Mom and dad are coming up the last weekend of May to collect my belongings.
To make this situation seem less like a drag, dad said that when I come home, I can find a job, or not. I can go to school, or not. So, I think what I'm going to do for a little bit is just do nothing. Beach, books, mall, Netflix, tv. Absolutely nothing productive.
For the last couple weeks, I've been having dreams at night of me being a teacher. Mostly I'm a high school economics teacher! When I wake up, I can even remember my dream lessons! I think I would make a fun economics teacher! Look at Mr. Kelly... I can be so much cooler! And technically speaking, I am an economist! Hmmm... we'll think about this one.
Before Chris went away and took the wireless internet creator thing, I would always be on my computer. On Entertainment Weekly, Perez Hilton (sad but true), Facebook, Twitter, etc. But now, I can go weeks without being on the computer! For instance, my last blog post was April 6th! The last time I checked my email was May 1st. When I checked my email this afternoon, I had 147 messages in my Hotmail account and 106 in webmail (mostly your Facebook message feeds)! Nuts! I'm outside more and reading more, which by the way, I'll have to make a Hot List post eventually. I figure 3 blog posts in one day is a bit excessive!
I think that's all the catching up I can think of. I'm taking advantage of Borders's free wifi and I left my "Things to Blog About" list at home.
So until next time, which hopefully won't be more than a month from now, bye!
