I went home this past week because I felt like it. I left Monday after work and got back to Gainesville Friday evening. I love being home! Mom and I went shopping and I bought some kick-ass shirts from American Apparel and Delia's...

1. Red shirt with the recycle symbol all over it
2. American flag-like shirt with the stripes being a different color of the rainbow with a peace sign where the stars should be
3. "Help Save Our Oceans" with Dr. Seuss's One Fish Two Fish fishes on it
4. "Conserve Energy" on the front in the shape of a lightbulb, and on the back, it goes on and on about solar energy and how freakin awesome it is!
5. "Hope", with the O being a peace sign
6. "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur"***
7. Pink/orange tie-dyed with the WWF panda on the front
8. "Legalize Gay. Repeal Prop 8 Now!"***

***I talked to some people at work, and they said that I probably couldn't wear the "I'd Rather Go Naked" and "Legalize Gay" shirts to work. Too political and controversal. Darn.

What would be a trip to the mall without buying something an American Eagle! I found a really cute white summer dress that I'm going to be able to wear to my co-worker's beach wedding! Score!

While in Wellington, we ordered Dean Anthony's pizza! So good! I miss it so much.

It was just a lazy mini-vacation in Wellington. No big plans, no major outings. Just spending time with Matt, Mike, grandma, mom, and dad. Kaitlin was home, but since she moved into my bedroom and installed a TV, she never comes out except to eat and pee.

While driving to WPB, I made a list of songs I want to download. I love my Alt Nation satellite station! My list has about 40 songs on it from bands like White Rabbits (they will make an appearance on an upcoming Hot List), Billy Boy on Poison, Phoenix, The Takeover UK, Ra Ra Riot, and about a lot of others! I'm trying to convince Chris to let me use his LimeWire and get some songs for free.

On the way back to Gainesville, I was just about to get on the Turnpike when my Sirius radio shut down. Dad forgot to renew my membership so I was without satellite radio... Sad. It was a good thing I had my iPod or that long drive would have sucked! It amazes me how I can remember the words to songs I haven't heard in ages! It also amazed me how my iPod can go from Lil Jon to Spice Girls, to AFI to Fred Astaire to Eminem to O-Town to Aladdin. Nuts!

As I was driving south, I noticed that all the Turnpike Service Plaza food places were completely different. Gone are the old staples (Miami Subs, Sbarro, Nathans, BK, Starbucks) and in their place are those nicer restaurants. I thought about the change and it made sense. Drivers could just as easily get off at the next exit and go to Burger King or Starbucks. The state isn't making money that way. But if a driver stops at a Service Plaza and sits down at Cheeburger, the state probably gets some cut of the profits.
