Hot List 3 - July 7th

• "Baptized by Fire" by Spinnerette. I first heard this song on my Alt-Nation Sirius station and I really it. Cool dance-y vibe that makes me feel happy!
• Emily Giffin. I finished reading all her books (Something Borrowed/Blue, Baby Proof, Love the One You're With) and I thought they were very enjoyable. Quick, easy summer reads. Nothing deep or sophisticated, but fun.
• Marcus Flutie. So yeah, I finished all 5 books in like 4 days and was completely consumed by them. Because of the way all you guys talked about in the past, I figured he was a big deal even before I started the first book. I liked him in the 1st, loved him in the 2nd, was annoyed by him in the 3rd (what the hell was with the Buddhist school/living in the desert in silence thing!) , started liking him again in the 4th, and loved him again in the 5th. In my head, I have a very cute image of him... of course I would, I'm Nicki.
• WALL-E. I love this movie! If you haven't seen it, you have to! If you've seen it and you weren't emotionally touched, then you have no soul. For the second time in two weeks, a robot almost made me cry! (Transformers 2 was the first instance, remember...)
• Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Hell yeah! Midnight showing a week from today! So excited! I'm going to Fandango my ticket later today!
• Hung. It's a new show on HBO about a divorced high school teacher who's house burns down and has to resort to male prostitution to make ends meet. Apparently, he has a huge peepee (hense the show's title) and it will be his key to success. I caught the series premiere the other night and I really liked it, so I'll stick with it and see how it goes.
