I Haven't Broken Up With Someone in a Long Time

I went from having no jobs, to one job, to two jobs all within 24 hours.

Borders called Monday to offer me a job. Although I wanted to work full-time, all they had was part-time, so I took it! An hour later, Best Buy called me to schedule a final interview. I decided to take the interview in the event that Best Buy gives me more than Borders.

Today, at 1:00, I went to Best Buy, met with the store manager, answered some questions, and was offered a sales job, rather than the cashier position I applied for. He offered $8/hr and around 20 hr/wk. I accepted the job, and in the event that Borders messed up my work hours, at least I have a fall back.

At 3:00, I went to Borders to start my training. I'll be getting $7.50/hr and working 22 hrs this week and 23 hrs next week. The COOLEST thing I learned is that Borders employees get to "check-out" books from the store just like in a library. You have 14 days to read it before it has to be returned to the sales floor. If you damage the book and it can't be sold, you have to buy it. As soon as I heard this, I decided that Borders is the job for me!!!

Although Best Buy is offering more money, I figured the money I would save by not buying books would offset the differences in wages.

Now I have to break up with Best Buy.
