More Than Meets the Eye

Chris and I went to the midnight showing of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen last night/this morning. We had originally planned on seeing it this afternoon because matinee tickets are cheap and we both had off from work (and I didn't have class). However, he surprised me by showing up at Borders yesterday while I was working with two tickets to the 12:01am showing. When I got home from work, Chris kept bugging me about taking a nap so I wouldn't be sleepy and cranky for the movie. I passed on the nap and instead continued reading "Charmed Thirds". I wanted to know what Marcus was trying to say with all of those one-word postcards he was sending Jessica. ("I WISH OUR LOVE WAS... What?!?) Chris wanted to get good seats for the movie, so we got to the theater an hour before the movie was to start. I thought it was rediculous to get there so early, so I brought my book along. I packed a book light too. (Yeah, I'm a dork.)

I saw a new Harry Potter movie trailer before the movie started! It looks so good! Shannon created a Facebook event for the movie's midnight showing. So far, only me, her, and Walf are "attending". I bummed that all my Harry Potter apparel (i.e. HP glasses, Gryffindor badge, homemade wand) are in Wellington. No dressing up for Nickipants.

I thought Transformers was so good! Before the movie even started, a bunch of drunk frat guys kept yelling out stuff like "Megan is f****** fox" and "Megan Fox is so f****** hot". I thought Chris was going to go all MMA on their asses if they didn't shut up. They thankfully kept quiet once movie started with the exception of one loud collective howl/swoon/moan/cat-call when Megan first appeared on the screen. I, however, internally howled/swooned when I saw Shia Leboef. He got so handsome! He's come a long way from "Even Stevens". There was a point in the movie when an Autobod (I'm not saying which one) was killed and I felt my eyes misting up. I thought to myself "He's a freakin robot and I'm about to cry over his death! What?!" But, in all, the movie was amzing, funny (a lot of sexual jokes), sad, and full of WTF moments.

P.S. While waiting for the movie to start, I found out what all Marcus's postcards ended up saying. So cute!! I'm starting "Fouth Comings" right now!
